Step-by-Step Guide

Identify the 3 Key Factors
1

Identify the 3 Key Factors

The first step is to determine three key factors that will narrow down your search from 12 seasons to 2–3 potential seasons.

Undertone (Skin Tone)

Determine whether your undertone is warm, cool, or neutral. This is the most important factor for filtering the right seasonal group.

Fair/Deep (Lightness/Depth)

Assess the overall lightness or depth of your skin, hair, and eye color to narrow the choice between light and deep seasons.

Contrast Level

Evaluate the contrast between your skin, hair, and eye color to identify the season with the matching level of contrast.

Compare & Narrow Down

Compare & Narrow Down

Based on the results from Step 1, cross-reference the chart to eliminate and narrow down to 2–3 potential seasons that match your identified characteristics.

Combine the information from all three factors above
Eliminate seasons that don't match your undertone, tone, or contrast
Note down the potential seasons to compare in the next step
Compare Directly with the 12-Season Palette
3

Compare Directly with the 12-Season Palette

Use the 12-season color palette to compare directly against your face. This is the final decision-making step.

Choose the season that makes:

Skin appear brighter and more radiant • Eyes appear brighter and more prominent • Face look harmonious and balanced • Minimize imperfections such as redness, blemishes, and dark circles

How to compare correctly:

Hold the palette close to your face and compare the overall effect, rather than focusing on 1–2 individual colors. People with a neutral undertone may suit two adjacent seasons — this is completely normal.
